Join us Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. for “A Stitch in Time Saves…” at the Pope County Museum.
“A Stitch in Time Saves…” You have inherited a quilt you never knew existed but it has a few stains. You’ve got a top and don’t know if you should finish it or not. Should I just make Teddy Bears with these quilts I’ve been saving? Sue will share ideas on what to do to save the integrity of your quilt. (Members may bring a quilt if time allows)
Sue will be available Thursday, July 23 to provide a written appraisal of old or new quilts. This appraisal will be for insurance purposes unless another type is specified (i.e. market value, donation). Each appraisal will take approximately 30 minutes. Please register in advance; $55 fee per quilt.
A less extensive oral evaluation of a quilt is also possible. $35 per quilt.
Both appraisals require registration in advance. Please fill out the attached form and contact the museum for an appointment.
