Totem Pole gets new paint

Glenwood Boy Scout Darren Griesert and a team of Boy Scouts have recently repainted the totem pole that stands in the parking lot between the museum and the ball fields. Darren is working towards his Eagle Award.

The totem pole once stood in front of the Rhur-American store in Glenwood, which operated from 1961-1979. When the store closed, the totem pole was moved to the park. It looks great with its new coat of paint! I even enjoyed the sight of the total pole with its white primer coat.
