Fire Chiefs Featured

The fire chiefs of the Glenwood Fire Department are featured in a new exhibit installed today at Eagle Bank. The exhibit culminates several months of research by Museum supporter, Steve Nestor. He was inspired last fall when he learned that one of his ancestors was a member of the Glenwood Hose Company, the first attempt at organized fire protection for the village of Glenwood in 1883. The exhibit will run at Eagle Bank for the next two weeks, then continue at the Pope County Museum as part of an extended exhibit on the Glenwood Fire Department. As Steve frequently says on KMGK 107.1, “Stay tuned for more!”
